It's HOT outside! With the high temps during the dog days of summer please don't forget about your furry companions. Our pets need some extra TLC during these days where the temps are in the high 90's with the heat index over 100 degrees. Please do not leave your pet in a car, even with the windows cracked, as the heat can rise to a deadly temperature in just a short time. Choose cooler times of the day for walking and play time, always offer plenty of fresh, cool water and shady places to relax if unable to be inside. If you fear your pet could be suffering from heat exhaustion please contact our office and bring your fur babies to us as soon as possible. We hope everyone has a fun, safe summer!

See our new page: Vet Tech Tid Bits for more infomation regarding heat exhaustion.
